I have four. Three gen1s and one gen2. My 48 has the metal mag catch. My 43x is stock. They work perfectly in both with either mag catch. I have north or 1200rds through them. Zero issues. Just waiting for my 43x catch to start acting up and I'll just install a new one. They are dirt cheap. I edc the 43x with factory mags.
