A semester with 18 hours of pure engineering is much harder than a semester of 18 with a mix of engineering and, say, fine arts. Better advice is to take an extra semester or year. This gives you more time to network in college, beef up your resume, and you take less classes per semester which is much less stressful. From there, you can basically create every single other identity. For instance, cos (a+a) aka cos (2a)= cos 2 (a)-sin (a). Then from there you can get cos (2a)+1= 2cos (a)... etc etc. I actually rebuilt this theorem during the exam because I couldn't be certain of the signs.
