With mine installed, I can't rack the slide far back enough for the slide catch to engage, and thus, I can't release the takedown lever. Also, with the recoil spring installed, it sticks out quite a bit in front.If using the flush 10 round mag in the P365, you may not have enough fingers on for sufficient grip support, try a 10 round Pinky mag or maybe a 12 rounder with the adapter that extends the grip. Flip up the slide lock and try to man-handle it off by moving it back and forth until it gives, just be careful not to bend it sideways. If you function checked after the LGS install, and it operated correctly, their probably not the cause. The cause is likely just normal/accidental handling.The flat faces forward in the closed position. The rear end of the guide rod rests on the takedown lever (or pin).
