Now you need to copy battle.lgp, char.lgp, flevel.lgp*, chocobo.lgp*, high-us.lgp* and world_us.lgp* into the lgp_in folder (skip this when you want to use 7H).

Go to where you installed ff7 and look for ff7's mod folder and place the remako mod directly in the "mods" folder. I solved it by playing through Steam, saving once in all 10 slots. Afterwards I copied the save data from \Documents\Square Enix\FINAL FANTASY VII Steam\user_(insert yours) to the save folder in the modded version. After SOOO much pain the a, and nothing working, I recommend doing this!!It's not really a bug but rather tutorial request. I'm on Pop!_OS using Lutris for gaming. Everything works just fine. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to run 7th Heaven with any version of FF7. Could anyone provide a simple tutorial on how to mod FF VII with Wine or Steam + Ptoton version? Thanks a lot!

But if you want to mod further, 7th Heaven has some very nice mods and features. Note that there's no actual widescreen mod for FF VII: you don't increase the FOV, you just stretch the image to fit the screen / window. 2. First you need to convert the game to the 1998 version and then you must add the 60fps mod manually. The 60fps mod has a .txt file with all the steps to make it work. doesn't work after converting the game either. the only thing thats different witht the converted version is there is no music.In the 7th heaven mod manager I see a "Gameplay" mod. It says it has various cheat options. Does anyone know what those cheat options are? I just use the 'Lock Inventory' reusable items option (so all items are like the M-Item duplication from the start) and Lucky Tifa and Reeve so they get the perfect limit break every time.

Hopefully this helps some other avid Final Fantasy fans enjoy yet another modded game on their Steam Deck! 7th Heaven is a bit finicky but modded FF7 works great after getting everything set up right and the performance is great too!

i get 60 fps menus but not battles. the 7th heaven mod check box says "60 fps battles" The aim of the mod is to preserve the 15 FPS animations, 30 FPS camera and Summons, and 60 FPS battle windows of the original. You won't get 60 FPS attack animations from this game if that's what you mean to get. Liar, it says on the mod page:
