I personally find the Moonlight Greatsword to be too much of a stat investment in the wrong areas to be worth using. A strength build isn't as good at casting as a dexterity build. Don't try to use a shield, though: you won't have the stats to be much good at blocking or taking a hit. You have to be able to dodge well to be a good sorcerer.
