I'm having the same issue and was told the same thing by EA help. No progression on any stats the give rewards such as ultimate champion or ultimateA solo challenge is a mini game users can complete in MUT that will earn them stars. The more stars earned, the more rewards users will receive. These rewards change based on the program, but can be coins, packs, items and progress on field passes. A solo challenge is essentially a mini game.

I’ve completed every task to upgrade Kam but the team objectives but am receiving no credit for it. You have to complete the full list of daily objectives for it to count as +1 to your total.
