My take on the difference is: I like Lichess for the Study feature, and the opening explorer filtered certain rating ranges is very convenient (checking a couple quick lines is a lot smoother than battling with Chessbase).Lichess seems to have more cheats over 2000. Many times I have played a 2200-2300 who gets banned, soon enough. The cheaters on lichess seem clustered in the 1650-1800 range. But yeah I think people are playing the opening 10-15 moves then switching the engine on when they get in trouble. I've had similar experiences.

This website has a very handy chart for comparison that I use. On both sites you're above median by about 200 points. Weirdly enough my rapid rating on Lichess is 100 higher than yours, but 300 higher on Chess.com. A conversion chart I found would put 1800 at 1450 on Chess.com, so I think we're both probably a bit underrated on Chess.com.

You can see that chess.com has higher ratings than lichess at the top level. There are clearly more very strong players on chess.com, so it's not surprising they have some very highly rated players, but still, there are 60 players over 2700 on chess.com and only 5 on lichess. For one, ratings for online chess are spotty in general, especially on the lower-to-mid end. Secondly, comparing ratings across (online) communities requires some assumptions and transformations of the respective rating normal curves, and doesn't really tell you that much anyway.

The daily limits on lessons and tactics on chess.com is probably why lichess is prefered by most in this subreddit and the extra free services provided by chess.com is not needed by most.
