I replaced my gasser with it for doing firewood. I just got the 24v 12" for limbing too though. Just FYI, the 89v tools are made by greenworks, and the difference is in the slides for the battery. I've gotten a couple cheap greenworks 80v tools and just cut that slide out so I could use my 89v Kobalt batteries.
