I'm aware of the devices on the net that allow entry of the prefix and or the serial numbers, but for some reason these do not work for the model 39. Keep in mind I'm referring to original model 39, NOT the 39A. It's not a a 1959 build, but it may be a 1929 build. My rifle pre-dates the HS prefix models and they were first made in 1932.
