Steam or GOG? I know this is a very silly question, and the correct answer is very likely "who cares?" but for some reason I'm thinking about it anyway. Obviously both have auto-updates, but GOG, I've just found out, has cloud saves whereas Steam does not. Is there anything else, then, beyond personal preference which would put one ahead of the ...

A few ways to prevent this from occurring: Use path signals on the block. it will preemptively activate a level crossing. Put a signal on the tile that would become a level crossing to prevent it from becoming one. Build road bridges for the road to prevent a level crossing. Put the track in a tunnel to prevent a level crossing.r/openttd: OpenTTD discussion, strategy, and banter. We also run a suite of community servers!Go to openttd r/openttd • by KingK_7. Thanks! I’ve got an early start, currently in 1870, so perhaps I’ll begin to increase DLF as I get into the later stages of the game with increased train choice (and more money for more trains!). I don’t want to bankrupt myself haha.

Depends on the NewGRF. Most of them are designed for starting around the time the first vehicles are introduced. For example, with NARS (one of my favorites), good starting years are between 1830 (when the first loco, the Grasshopper, is introduced) and 1850 (introduction of the 4-4-0 "American"). I think transport fever 2 is probably the best of the 3d transport tycoons I've played. It gives you a lot more eye candy than openttd. However, Transport Fever maps tend to be smaller, in area covered, number of vehicles, and complexity of networks you'll need, so it doesn't displace OpenTTD for me. Open both depots' train lists, and create new trains in the maglev depots that have the same composition as the trains in the old depot. Then use shared orders to tell them where to go (e.g. you made a grain maglev train, and copy the orders from diesel grain train). Once that is done, you can remove the old trains: new trains have their orders ...That's not a "beginner's guide", it's a happy "use all signals in the way I do it-guide". People who start building tracks basically need to know one thing: how do I get several trains use my tracks concurrently. That's simple: Use path signals and place them only there where you want to allow a train to stop - thus do not place them immediately Railway construction Signals are useful devices that allow you to control Trains movement. They do this by preventing trains from entering areas where other trains might be, and so preventing them from crashing. This usually involves taking information from the section of track following the signal. The YAGL file describes the contents of the GRF, including the properties of all the trains, and includes the links to the sprites in the sprite sheet. In my experience, SimpleAI is the best AI. In 2014, I played a game with 8 other AIs. AdmiralAI and trAIns had good starts, but the game turned into a duel between SimpleAI and my company (Gartbridge Transport). In 1950, the game started. In 1969, AdmiralAI was 1st in income, trAIns was 2nd, I was 3rd, SimpleAI was 7th.

First of all, it gives you a bigger share of the resource in question; the rest gets sold locally. Second, if SR > 80, you get better chances of economic growth, but if it's <60, you run a higher risk of closing/downsizing. Still luck-based, but that's why you should try to get >80%.Anything other than the standard openttd map generator can make a huge difference in gameplay and fun. google Cindini and you'll see a nice example. Problem with openttd's generator is that it tries to look natural and real, but in reality its just a constant loop of the same noise without any pattern to it.Common problem for trains is it's an electric train and you forgot to electrify the station (or similar track type incompatibilities). Common problem for road vehicles, if they're articulated or longer than the standard half tile, is they can only use the drive-through stations, not the pull-in stations. The full-loaded total weight is 504t. The locomotive I have selected has a maximum speed of 201km/h, and a maximum power of 10.119 hp each, so the total would be 20.238 hp. I added the additional locomotive in vain hopes to try and get it to travel faster, at maximum speed. Alas, even with two engines it's stuck at 120km/h.
