IMHO, with capos, less is more. I have a variety in a variety of different materials including Elliott, KatEyz, Crary, Colorado, Paige, Shubb, G7, John Pearse, Hlavaty, Paige and some other yoke-styles showing no brand name. For utility, the ones that I use the most are the KatEyz, the Colorado, and the Elliott.

The majority of banjo fret boards are flat, whereas most steel string guitars have a radius on the fretboard. The short answer, spring for a decent banjo capo. Much more gooder!
