Look at Kat Eyz capos. I have one for my D18 in stainless steel. They're about $100 but I think they're as nice as the Elliott Mckinney. The owner is very nice too. I hope this doesn't turn into an ad hoc poll for "my favorite capo," but speaking of cross-bars I do have experience with the Kat Eyz brand by Mike Smith, favorites for a long time with the bluegrass set. I like the fact that it is thin, light weight, precise, and inconspicuous, looking more like a fret than a capo on the neck.

Don't want to sound like I'm shilling for Kat Eyz but they'll made one as wide as you like, the exact radius you need, they cost about 100 bucks and he'll usually get it to you in a week or so. What a lovely little unit! I ordered it for 16" for when my HD28 arrives, but it works great on my 12" Takamine beater too, so it's not just gonna be teasing me over the coming months haha. Either way, it's been a great experience and if anyone's been considering one of these I couldn't recommend Phil and Kat Eyz enough.

That's the whole point of them.
