I have a snowplow on my 2017 Tacoma V6. I think you would be OK with a light plow on the 4cyl with some ballast (200-300lbs) in the back of the truck. Go slow with plowing and you should be OK for home use. I don't use ballast but always try to have full tank of gas (19x7lbs). The Snoway 22 7'6 works for me.
